With over 15 years of experience working with families across the NHS and private practice, I understand the challenges parents face when it comes to weaning, fussy eating, picky eating, and sensory challenges.

I am also actively involved in academia and research, ensuring that my advice is always backed by the latest evidence. I have previously worked at the the University of Nottingham and am currently working with Ulster University.

How Nutrition4Kids Can Help

At Nutrition4Kids, I offer expert-led support through 1:1 consultations, toolkits and an online programme for sensory eaters. With NHS waiting lists growing and services becoming more limited, my goal is to provide quick, accessible, and practical solutions that fit your family’s needs.

I help parents:
✔ Navigate weaning with confidence
✔ Manage picky eaters and fussy eating without stress
✔ Support sensory challenges in children who struggle with food
✔ Avoid mealtime battles and make food fun
✔ Build lifelong healthy eating habits for their children

Unlike generic advice online, my approach is personalised. You’ll receive expert guidance from a trusted Paediatric Dietitian, with tailored strategies based on your child’s needs and your family’s lifestyle.

Meet Dr Kirsty

Hi, I’m Dr. Kirsty!

I grew up on a farm in Co. Down, Northern Ireland, where my love for food and nutrition began. As a child, I spent my days feeding lambs and escaping to my grandmothers’ kitchens, where one taught me to bake delicious treats and the other showed me how to cook healthy and delicious meals.

These early experiences shaped my passion for food, family, and bringing people together over meals. Naturally, pursuing a career in nutrition and dietetics was the perfect fit!

Today, I combine my practical experience, research expertise, and love for food to help families like yours overcome feeding challenges and raise happy, confident eaters.

Dietitians are qualified and regulated health professionals that assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public-health level.

They use the most up-to-date public health and scientific research on food, health and disease which they translate into practical guidance to enable people to make appropriate lifestyle and food choices.

Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law and are governed by an ethical code to ensure that they always work to the highest standards. The title ‘dietitian’ is the only food and nutrition title that is protected by law. Only those registered with the statutory regulator, the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) can use the title.

I’m a registered Dietitian that is regulated by law. I must give up-to-date evidence-based information. Research and clinical practice continue to change depending on new evidence. I ensure that I am aware of any such changes and incorporate this into my practice. In addition, I use my own clinical experience with numerous families from the past twelve years to assist in my delivery of the advice I provide.

I understand that it is important to make sure I am a good fit for you and your family. Therefore, I would recommend booking a free 15-minute discovery call. During this call I can explain the different services I offer and will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. You can also check out the many 5* reviews from other parents on my website and social media pages.

They will all be really helpful, so it depends on your own personal preference in terms of how you like to learn and what you are comfortable with.

If you would like an interactive session, direct answers to your questions and support from other parents in the same boat, then a webinar would work well for you.

If you would rather learn from the comfort of your own home at a pace that suits you, access the recording whenever you want, then an recorded masterclass would work well for you.

If you would rather have an individual and tailored approach with your baby or child, then a one-to-one consultation would work well for you.

I appreciate that cost can also be an important factor to consider. My webinar is the cheapest option and a one-to-one consultation is my most expensive service.

Benefits of a virtual consultation:

  • Tailored to your needs
  • Perfect for busy parents as we can arrange a time which best suits you
  • Receive personalised support and encouragement to help make any needed changes
  • Work together to create a plan that works for you and your family
  • Professional advice from the comfort of your own home
  • Confidential

You can watch it at any time. If you have a baby aged 4-5 months, then it’s helpful to watch the first half about how to get started and what you will need. That way you can get prepared and then dip back into the rest of the recording when you’re ready to start. This masterclass covers everything you need to know right up until your baby’s first birthday.

Our toddler/child sessions can be taken from around 10 months of age all the way until 5-7 years of age. Our clients report that they wish they had completed the course before they began to struggle with picky eating, as the journey is easier when you know what to do. However, it was designed for parents and caregivers who were struggling with picky eating or wanting to ensure that their child was getting enough nutrition. It’s also ideal for parents and caregivers who want to help their child grow up with a healthy relationship with food.

As a registered dietitian, I am recognised by some of the health insurers. So, you may be able to claim the cost of a consultation back under ‘dietitian’ cover. Ask your healthcare provider if you are covered.
