Apple and Rhubarb Crumble

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 40 minutes

  • 6 Rhubarb
  • 3 Apples ( we used Braeburn)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar (any we used caster)
  • 60 grams Butter/Margarine
  • 40 grams Sugar (any we used caster)
  • 100 grams Wholemeal Flour
  • 30 grams Porridge Oats
  • 1/2 tbsp (Optional) Sugar to sprinkle on top of crumble


  • Chop up your fruit into finger sized pieces and put at bottom of baking tin. 
  • Sprinkle with some sugar. 
  • Cook the fruit in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 mins to soften it.
  • Meanwhile, put all the crumble ingredients into a bowl, then, with cold fingers, rub together to combine all ingredients! You can adjust the ratio of flour to oats depending on how oaty you like it!
  • Sprinkle crumble on top of fruit and place back in the oven for 30-40 mins and voila!
  • Delicious alone or serve with natural yogurt!

Can use dairy free margarine and gluten free oats and flour if needed.
