Looking for a fun and healthy way to beat the summer heat? Look no further than these delightful watermelon kiwi yoghurt ice lollies! Not only are they delicious and refreshing, but they are also a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen. In this blog post, we’ll share tips on how to make ice lollies healthier and more affordable, along with an easy recipe for these fruity frozen treats.
1. Get Kids Involved:
Making ice lollies is a perfect opportunity to get your kids involved in the kitchen. Let them help with the preparation by washing and cutting the fruits and allowing them to pour the yoghurt into the moulds. This hands-on experience will not only make them more excited about eating the final product but also help develop their motor skills and foster a love for cooking.
2. Choose Healthier Ingredients:
Instead of using sugary syrups or store-bought fruit juices or lollies, opt for fresh and natural ingredients sometimes. Watermelon and kiwi are excellent choices for their natural sweetness and high water content. You can also use Greek yoghurt or plain yoghurt for added creaminess and a dose of calcium and probiotics.
These watermelon kiwi yoghurt ice lollies are not only a delicious summer treat but also a nutritious option for the whole family. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and hydration from the fruits and yoghurt, they are a guilt-free indulgence. So, grab a lolly, sit back, and enjoy the refreshing goodness!
3. Make it More Affordable:
Store-bought ice lollies can be expensive, especially if you have a whole family to treat. Making your own ice lollies at home is a budget-friendly alternative. By using fresh fruits and yoghurt, you can create a batch of ice lollies at a fraction of the cost. Plus, you have the flexibility to customise the flavours to suit your family’s preferences.
