Young children make their food decisions based on what food looks like. They like ‘magical thinking’ so presentation is key. Let your imagination run wild! Here are some ideas for family pizza. Everyone can have a go and make different ones! You can use cutters if you have them or cut the shape of the wrap into any style you want. This is a great idea for a family style dining and helps with fussy eating and food refusal!
Get your kids involved!
Get the whole family involved, children, can help wash the veg, make the pizza base mixture, roll out the pizza and decorate them! This is a great way to encourage food acceptance as well. This can be a great family bonding night and has the added bonus of being a fake takeaway for the family! If you have a muffin tray and coloured cases/moulds place toppings in this and allow the kids to decorate their own pizza.

All about making a balanced meal so:
- The base is a carbohydrate source.
- You can add vegetables to the base sauce (see Jamie’s Oliver’s 7 vegetable sauce recipe https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pasta-recipes/seven-veg-tomato-sauce/) & as toppings think 🌈effect!
- Add protein sources such as 🧀🍗🥩🍣 or dairy free alternatives for those with an 🐄 allergy.

Allergies & Recipes
Food Allergens: Milk (can use dairy free cheeses), gluten (you can use gluten free base options)
