Chicken Goujons

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Course Main Course


  • 600 g chicken strips
  • 3 cups/150g panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup/90g plain flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & Pepper to season
  • Carbohydrate of choice mash/chips
  • X2-3 vegetables of choice


  • Measure out all the ingredients.
  • Prepare carbohydrate of choice and vegetables and cook accordingly.
  • Whisk eggs gently & place into one bowl.
  • Add flour, salt & pepper in second bowl.
  • Place breadcrumbs, paprika & olive oil in third bowl & mix well (oil should coat breadcrumbs but mixture shouldn’t stick together)
  • Dip chicken into flour bowl then egg bowl and then into breadcrumbs. Set aside onto a baking tray.
  • For maximum crispiness, spread out well, don’t overlap the chicken.
  • Actifry for 15 minutes at 180c until golden brown. Rotate halfway if using actifry. Depending on the size of your goujon, increase or decrease the cook time.
  • Serving suggestions for kids


Babies: Aim for small nuggets & cut up if needed. Slice into stripes for fries, can cut into smaller pieces 9+ months.
Allergies: Eggs & Gluten. You can substitute with gluten-free flour & breadcrumbs. For egg, you could use egg replacer powder mixed with 4tbsp of water.
